in which spirit meets flesh?
Jan. 16th, 2007 01:22 pmi finally got my damn betta to eat again.
i tried relocating the bowl to a warmer locale, numerous water changes, conditioning treatments, antibiotics, prayer, and a heck of a lot of reiki, but what finally worked was dropping in teeny pieces ripped from an actual frozen shrimp; said shrimp was pulled from a pack of frozen shrimp barbecue skewers purchased this summer... before i became a vegetarian.
don't ask me what made me remember they were in the freezer and think to try them with my betta. i have no clue what turned my supposedly easy-to-care-for fish into some sort of finicky gourmet freak.
i'm just thankful. cause i somehow kind of love the little bugger already. :)
