i bought two of these books during my last used-bookstore romp with Richard, and ordered the rest from the library... not even knowing why, really. i've been idly thumbing through the Idiot's guide, now and then, but this morning i actually started reading Ecoshaminism, and i think i get it: the time alloted for the human-to-human (internal) purge is ending, and the time to get serious about reconnecting to the (external) earth/world stuff is at hand.

here's hoping i purged enough/made enough room.

I should have noted that it depends upon what "vein" you want to follow. That book still deals with more internal matters than connecting to earth, though Alli might argue against that distinction. Here's his site on paratheatre (http://www.paratheatrical.com/info.html).

that looks interesting from a "creating your own reality" viewpoint... i'm really looking for more ecological "how to" stuff... earth energy and physicality/environmental concerns merging. right now it being more a matter of swinging the other way, away from human perception, for awhile. or... instead of trying to bring stuff into "my" reality, how can i enter the Earth's?

I have to say I never would have thought you would need books for this sort of thing.... you have always struck me as already being connected.
Only advice I have to give at current is to "listen" to what your environment is telling you and be open to it.

not really "needing"... more a "wanting." :) there's always more to learn, more channels to open.
